We are Ian and Daniel Chicken, and we are based in Luton, Bedfordshire. We have kept tropical's Since 2000 now but I am mainly interested these days in the Cichlids of the Rift lakes.
Being a shift worker it allows me plenty of time to pursue the hobby a little easier than I could have done. Like many of the hobbyists in the area I like to keep the cost as low as possible and ensure that I have a large selection of breeds available at any one time. I have at the moment around 25 different breeds of cichlids from lake Malawi and Tanganyika.
My son Daniel also helps me in running the tanks and also maintains tanks locally in luton for our customers.
We now have 53 tanks in operation which house breeding groups, Fry, Young of our breeds and any that we buy in from various breeder sources in the area.
We have expanded out with Del and Chris over at Eaton Bray and Martin and Lisa in Cornwall with our tanks totalling 120 at the moment
